Mont Ferrutx Crianza 2016- “very Mallorcan” wine -Miguel Oliver
Mont Ferrutx Crianza 2018 is a wine made with the autochthonous varieties Callet, Fogoneu, and Manto Negro and unlike others, with a national grape-Ull de Llebre. Manual harvest in small boxes to preserve the qualities of the berries and to avoid spontaneous fermentation. Afterwards, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation is finished, the wine also rests for 12 months in American oak barrels, where the malolactic fermentation takes place. Bottled in 2019 and aged in the bottle for a year.
Mont Ferrutx Crianza 2018 fuses the passion of four varieties, which in the same way contribute to the complexity of the wine. As a result we have a resounding, elegant and very expressive wine. It is presented in a glass with its precious dark garnet color. On the nose, it stands out for its notes of ripe red fruits on a background of fresh bramble.
Wine Tasting Notes
Smooth entry but very lively and fresh, followed by a perfect combination of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries with a well balanced body, with good acidity and balsamic notes. Somewhat short finish which makes it perfect to combine with a wide variety of dishes.
